“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Let’s be real for a moment—building a business isn’t easy. For Christian women entrepreneurs, it often feels like we’re juggling faith, family, and finances while trying to keep up with content, clients, and consistency. If we’re not careful, we can quickly shift from faith-driven entrepreneurship to flesh-driven striving—without even realizing it.
But here’s the truth:
God never called you to build your business in your own strength.
When you rely on yourself instead of Him, the pressure increases, the peace decreases, and burnout is just around the corner. So how do you know if you’ve been building in your own strength? Let’s break it down—and talk about how to make the switch back to God’s way.
1. You Feel Constantly Overwhelmed and Exhausted
You’re working non-stop, your to-do list never ends, and you constantly feel behind. You love what you do, but the joy is gone. Your schedule is packed, but your soul feels empty.
Sign of Self-Strength:
You’re carrying the weight of your business alone—trying to do more instead of resting more in God.
📖 Matthew 11:28 (NLT) says,
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Make the Switch:
Invite God back into your business. Start your day with prayer, surrender your plans to Him, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead. Remember: rest is not laziness—it’s obedience.
2. You’re Always Chasing “What’s Next” Instead of Stewarding What You Have
You jump from one idea to the next, chasing trends, strategies, and shiny opportunities—hoping the next thing will finally “work.” But you’re never fully at peace with any of it.
Sign of Self-Strength:
You’re trying to force growth instead of letting God direct your steps.
📖 Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) says,
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Make the Switch:
Instead of chasing the next big thing, ask God: “What have you already given me to steward?” He blesses obedience, not busyness. Focus on what He’s already placed in your hands and trust Him with the timing.
3. You’re Struggling with Fear, Doubt, and Insecurity
You second-guess every decision, compare yourself to others, and wonder if you’re really cut out for this. You say you trust God, but deep down, you feel like it’s all on you to make it happen.
Sign of Self-Strength:
You’ve made yourself the source instead of relying on the One who called you.
📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) says,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Make the Switch:
Remind yourself that God is your source. Your clients, creativity, and revenue all come from Him. Declare His promises over your business, and replace fear with faith. God is not asking you to be perfect—just willing.
Dear God, Thank you for the calling you’ve placed on my life as a Kingdom entrepreneur. I confess that I’ve tried to build in my own strength at times—rushing ahead of you, striving for results, and carrying weight I was never meant to carry. Today, I surrender my business back to you. Lead me, guide me, and give me the grace to follow your strategy, not the world’s. Help me to rest in your presence, trust in your timing, and build from a place of peace. I declare that you are my CEO, and I will follow wherever you lead. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Hey Beauty, building a business with God is the most powerful, peaceful, and purposeful way to grow. You don’t have to hustle to be blessed. You don’t have to strive to succeed. God’s way is better, fuller, and far more fruitful than anything we could build alone.
